If you have your graphic artwork ready to go then great. Simply email the files and we will review a time of quoting.  If you have no artwork, we can either help you create your artwork or direct you to a graphic artist to work with you to achieve your goal.

Before we proceed be aware.

Insufficient artwork files require varying degrees of adjustment in order to ensure a high-quality print. Luckily, we’re design experts! No matter the state of your source artwork, we can make it work, but that doesn’t mean it’s ideal. We’re good but we cannot perform miracles.

Although we can make poor quality files work, they are not recommended. Often if simple enough we can clean things up at no extra charge but depending on the complexity of the artwork, there may be an additional charge. The best thing to do is be certain your artwork is created to print specifications.

All artwork is preferred in vector format at full size as Adobe Illustrator or Illustrator pdf files with all fonts outlined. Raster graphics must be created at full size and at 300 dpi or higher. We accept the following hi-resolution file formats: eps, ai, svg,

For stickers we can except these files.  pdf, psd, tiff, and hi-resolution jpgs.

***Vector file format artwork is required for most print jobs.

All fonts must be converted to outlines, or the font file(s) must be included with artwork. If you have questions regarding the print readiness of your artwork, please contact your graphic designer or send through for us to review. Please do not send any Microsoft documents for printing. There are no Microsoft programs that allow users to create hi-resolution graphics for professional printing.

Please also note that simply placing a low-quality image into Illustrator and re-saving it does not by any means turn your design into a quality, print-ready design file.

Illustrator = vector-based art

Illustrator can utilise pixel-based graphics from Photoshop, but not edit them with the same ease. Instead, Illustrator creates vector graphics. These are graphics that are NOT resolution-dependent—like pixels—and instead are comprised of points and lines that connect in a variety of ways to create line art. This line art can then be filled with or outlined with colour. Since most print options utilises spot colours, and not much process printing, vector graphics are the perfect source file type.

Vector graphics are extremely versatile and very simple to manipulate. Their size can be changed without any concern about pixelization or loss of detail. This is the preferred method for creating artwork for HTV printing as it also gives us a nice hard-line edge, resulting in crisper images on screen and ultimately on garment. Common file types for vector-based graphics are .ai, .eps, and some—but not all–.pdf files.

Murnane print do offer this service. Our graphic designer will help you modify or create your artwork. This is at an additional cost and must be quoted based on individual request. Feel free to email us for more information.

What is artwork spec

Artwork spec is a set of visual requirements for a piece of artwork. It typically includes guidelines for the size, color, and format of the artwork, as well as requirements for any text or branding that should be included. It is important to follow artwork spec to ensure that the artwork looks professional and meets the requirements of the client.

What is a setup fee

A setup fee is a cost associated with getting a service or product ready to use. Set up fees are usually one-time charges and cover the cost of preparing the service or product for use. This is not an artwork charge for designing and modifying designs to go to print.

What is an artwork fee

An artwork fee is only applied when artwork needs to be re-created, traced, or created to go to print. This is a graphic design fee and will always be quoted and agreed before any work is commenced.
